We are looking for a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead a core-technology team, including C++ engineers who build and deliver foundational components of the protection stack, involving Windows internals and kernel drivers, across multiple compute architectures. About the role:
The successful candidate will create and drive the vision for our next-generation core technology stack of kernel and user-mode components that deliver protection based on varied threat vectors and sensor methods, including file, process, network, LOTL, behavioral, artificial-intelligence, and beyond.
As the leader of this initiative, you will hire and grow a highly technical engineering team, paying close attention to mentoring and people development of the industry’s best, while constantly encouraging diversity of thought.
You will create the plan, metrics, and analytics to accelerate building, delivering, and improving high-quality cross platform components and execute to achieve that vision.

About you:
5+ years of management experience leading software engineering organizations, with at least 8 years of commercial software industry experience delivering endpoint software to millions of users.
Your experience needs to include directly managing both development and quality assurance functions to deliver core-technology software on Windows, at the OS-internals and kernel-driver levels.
Familiarity with software development and testing at the Windows internals level, including, Visual Studio, WinDbg, COM / DCOM, IPC / RPC, multi-threaded design, filesystems (NTFS, FAT32, exFAT), ETW, and WMI.
Hands-on ability to lead teams in an Agile / SCRUM environment, using enterprise-scale frameworks such as SAFe and LeSS.
Experience with secure software development concepts and practices, including threat-modeling, secure coding, BSIMM, OWASP common vulns, manual and automated tools and techniques for vuln detection and prevention, along with an understanding of CVEs, exploits, and CVSS scoring.
Preferred but not required: Familiarity with additional languages such as Go-lang, Rust, and Python; Experience in driver development, security software / anti-malware / machine-learning, AMSI, client-server / cloud architecture, MacOS / Linux, multiple chip architectures (x86, x64, ARM64), Networking and protocols (SMB / CIFS, TCP, Sockets), along with working knowledge of various compilers, linkers, loaders, and executable file-formats (MZ, PE, COFF, ELF, MACH-O) is preferred.
Your career history must include growing and leading engineering teams of at least 15 or more people.
